We’re interested in selling the same things we’re interested in drinking. Mature, affordable, sometimes quixotic wines from traditional producers in Europe and the best emerging talent.
In addition to offering attractive parcels of mature wine, we regularly offer good stocks of young wine from small-production estates whose efforts are hard to find. As these classic, small production wines get scarcer and more expensive, we try and find the next generation.
The customer base consists of trade, restaurant and private clients whom we work closely with and enjoy long-term relationships. In order to offer exceptional value we try to source directly from private clients and from collections with restricted access that aren’t listed on sources like Wine Searcher.
We take provenance very seriously, and great care is taken to find the best possible examples of all wines sold. If we don’t think it’s going to be a true representation of the wine, we won’t sell it. Our key areas of interest are the Northern Rhone, Burgundy, The Loire and Italy. Please note some lines may still be in transit and not be immediately available.

I (Joe Gilmour) graduated in Economics and worked for eight years at one of the capitals most highly-regarded merchants before leaving to start Blast at the start of 2014. During this time I worked with many collectors in the UK, had comprehensive contact with the UK and European trade and dealt with a selection of prestigious producers, later being instrumental in bringing many over to the UK. I like drinking most things, but will always cross the road for traditional styles of Cote Rotie, precise red Burgundies and any wine that tells an interesting story.
